{Being 2 is easy to do}

Well {Skunk} turned 2 last Saturday but the party is tomorrow since the place we are holding the party is only open one day a month. But on his official birthday his daddy took him to Peach Days and later that night {Twinkie} & I took him to Johnny's Dairy for and ice cream cone. He was loving the "happy birthday" song and is so proud to tell anyone that asks how old he is, a very quick "two".

{Happy Rain Boots}

My friend/sub-division neighbor and I decided to walk over to the pre-school today with our wagons and our toddlers to pick up our kids. I was so excited because it looked like it was about to rain and I've had these way too cute rain boots in my closet for 6 months now and have only wore them once and it didn't even rain that time. Thank my lucky stars, a block from getting home with the kidletts it started to rain! Yippie!! If it hadn't I was seriously thinking about jumping in the shower with them on just so I could get them wet. ;)

{1st Day of School}

Before School
After School
Well today was {Bug}'s first day of school. And believe me it didn't come soon enough... for him. Ever since we had back to school night 2 weeks ago, he has been asking constantly when he was gonna go to school. But it finally came. Hip Hip Hooray!! And it was everything he hoped it would be. He absolutely loved it and can't wait for Wednesday to come so he can go back. A couple of my friends blogs mentioned how their younger one had a hard time with the older one going to school. I really didn't believe that it would affect {Skunk} at all. I was SO wrong! As soon as I got back in the drivers seat to leave the school after dropping {Bug} off, {Skunk} instantly started in... "Bwover? Bwover? Where Bwover?" He was so concerned that we were leaving with out him in the car. I explained that we would pick his brother up in a few hours cause he was in school, but we were going to the gym and he could play with the toys. That distracted him for the moment. After I had been on the olyptical for 30 min and was starting on the weights I noticed {Skunk} looking for me out the window of the play room with tears in his eyes. As soon as he saw me he burst into sobs. I figured I could be done at that point and so I went in to get him. He ran up to me and started pleading for his brother. It broke my heart. We still had an hour and a half left. The lady in the daycare area told me he was just fine but at one point just broke down in tears in the corner of the room. He was really missing his best friend and brother. Then when it was finally time to go pick {Bug} up from school, and {Skunk} so excited to see him, fell asleep as we waited in the long line of cars all picking up their pre-schoolers. I was excited to see my happy lil' pre-schooler myself. He told me all about his day and he even earned a gold token that he gets to save for a treat at school for "getting caught being good". This makes me so proud.

My youngest brother (by 10 years younger) works for The Point Theater on 12th... well he did work there. They are officially closed. How I will miss the free movies and discounted theater food. He's gonna miss it too. He really enjoyed putting together the films. I had the opportunity to have a tour of the projection room and was shown how the film is put together and how it all works. So next time I'm sitting in a nice rocker chair at The Junction 13 eating my expensive and fully priced popcorn with extra butter and large coke, I will think... 'I know what is going on up there and what it all looks like'. It was really cool! Thanks Gack! I also was fortunate to be the one to take the official picture of The Point Theater Gang out front, all together at work for the very last time. We WILL miss it!
