{Finally}

I know, I know. It's like a remake of The Brave Little Toaster, but I can't wait to go see this with my kids.  Besides, I loved The Brave Little Toaster. It still makes me cry.

{The Hills Are Alive...}

...with my children's most recent favorite movie, "The Sound of Music". This is definitely one of my most favorite musicals. I just never thought m'boys would like it at this young of an age. They really like the songs and all the children. When {Bug} asks to watch it, he asks for "the movie with lots of kids" or he'll sing the "doe a deer, a female deer". Hey, I'm not complaining! I'd so rather be sitting watching this with them than watch "Lion King" one more time. Plus, there is the bonus of watching it close to nap time... soothes them really well. :)

{The Best Girls Night Out... EVER!!!}

Last night I went out with the gals to see "Twilight". It was seriously the funnest night I've had out with the girls in the longest time. You should have see it, (& those of you who have gone to see the movie can appreciate the scene I'm about to set up) all these women, young and old, all dolled up for our date with Edward, *sigh*. Some wore t-shirts proclaiming "Team Edward" & "I love vampires". It was hilarious! As soon as the movie began the theater was filled with audible sighs, giggling, and "WHEEW's". I turned to {Twinkie's} sister who was sitting by me and we just giggled. It was so funny, I have never been in a theater with such a reaction to a movie starting. Yes, I was one of the gigglers feeling like I was 14 again. So much fun! But that was nothing compared to the moment that Edward finally came on screen. LOL!! The shrieks, giggling, and "BITE ME EDWARD!" that could probably be heard outside the theater doors were so funny I thought I was gonna pee my pants. I went into this movie not expecting too much, just wanting to have a fun night out, but I really enjoyed the movie and yes, I'm going to go see it again. The only thing that stuck out in my mind that was a little off in the movie was Jasper... he had the Johnny Depp Edward Scissorhands look on his face the whole time. Ya know, wide eyes, blank look on his face like there was nobody home upstairs. It was just bazaar and I didn't feel like he fit in the movie. Oh well, he just made me laugh every time he made an appearance on screen. Afterwards {Twinkie's} sister & I each acquired at the local Walmart, the Twilight soundtrack. Tee Hee! Silly girls!

{Anxiously Waiting}

At the moment I am posting this there are 36 days 11 hours & 12 minutes left till Twilight is in theaters. Well as you can probably tell my mind is stuck in Twilight euphoria today. I'm calling out to all you Twilight gals out there, those who are my personal friends/family and those who I've yet to meet. Let's plan the Ultimate Twilight Gals Night Out for November 21st. As soon as tickets go on sale I'm planning on purchasing. I'm wanting to see it at the Junction if any of you would like to join me that night, please let me know. It's gonna be a BLAST!!!

{HISTORIA DE UN LETRERO}

My good friend Naomi posted this on her blog and I couldn't pass it up and not post it on mine as well. I love this short film. "With a stroke of the pen, a stranger transforms the afternoon for another man in this emotionally stirring short film by Alonso Alvarez." Very touching,... and uplifting. I also love the song, I've heard Josh Groban sing it.

{Sayin' G'bye}

My youngest brother (by 10 years younger) works for The Point Theater on 12th... well he did work there. They are officially closed. How I will miss the free movies and discounted theater food. He's gonna miss it too. He really enjoyed putting together the films. I had the opportunity to have a tour of the projection room and was shown how the film is put together and how it all works. So next time I'm sitting in a nice rocker chair at The Junction 13 eating my expensive and fully priced popcorn with extra butter and large coke, I will think... 'I know what is going on up there and what it all looks like'. It was really cool! Thanks Gack! I also was fortunate to be the one to take the official picture of The Point Theater Gang out front, all together at work for the very last time. We WILL miss it!

{Zorgons are invading our home}

My lil {Bug} & {Skunk} often ask to watch Zathura. This is the prequel to Jumanji despite being released 10 years hence. It's a really cute family film about 2 brothers who do not get along at all. But when their father leaves them home for a while so he can run to the office for something, the boys learn to appreciate each other as they start to play a very old and dangerous board game found in the basement. The main villains in the movie are the reptile alien forms, Zorgons. Well my boys have been starting to play as if they are the brothers in the movie. They will run all over the house {Bug} yelling, "The Zorgons are here! AHHHH! Run! Hide! ZORGONS!" & {Skunk} running behind him yelling, "Zorgons, Zorgons, Zorgons!". This is the cutest funniest thing for me to watch as they run hiding in the pantry or laundry room or anywhere else they think would be a safe hiding place from the Zorgons. Well {Skunk} being as young as he is, and not knowing the difference between make-believe and real, started really getting emotional about it and as his screaming escalated into hysteric tears and running to me bawlin into my shoulder, "Zorgons here" over and over. I told him there were no Zorgons and he told me "Zorgons bye bye" and asking me "all gone?". I told {Bug} he can't play Zorgons any more with {Skunk} because it scares him. Needless to say I will no longer be putting that movie on when {Skunk} is around. On a side note, the younger brother Danny, in the movie has my lil {Skunks} eyes, big and dark puppy dog eyes. Love it!!
