A week and a half ago we when to pick out our pumpkins... and {Twinkie's} dear sister made suckers for m'boys and they made the perfect props while we were at Dabbs Produce stand. Stay tuned... we carved a really awesome pumpkin. Can't wait to show it off.

{Take Advantage of Me}
As the end of the year is coming closer I've decided that I'm going to take December off from portrait sessions so I can work on my new website for my re-grand opening in the new year. I recently attended the annual convention as a new active member of the Intermountain Professional Photographers Association and have realized that my business needed some revamping... along with my prices. Apparently my skill has succeeded my pricing and there will be adjustments there as with other things in my business with the new year. So anyone that would like to book a session before the last day of November I will be holding my pricing and procedures for these sessions. The cost is $40 for up to 1 hour ($60 if I have to travel more than 30 miles from my home in Weber County). That price is for a group up to 6 people. $5 more for each additional person and $10 per animal if you want your pets in the portraits. I touch up the shots in PhotoShop CS3 and you get your full resolution images on CD with a copyright release that doesn't expire. YES! Believe it or not, all that for $40. So take advantage of me now while you can!! Really I don't mind, cause it's not gonna last long. If you are interested in a session please leave a comment here with your contact info or email me at CAPTUREDBYL{AT}GMAIL{DOT}COM. Although we are loosing the fall leaves fast this year there are many fun places that we can go or if you have a place in mind I love new locations. I am extremely excited about the changes that will be taking place in the new year and hope that you will be too. Thank you for all your support over the past years. Also, if any of you readers are from the Las Vegas, NV area, I will be in the area during November 2-5 and will have time for 1 session while I am there if you are interested in this offer. Sessions available will fill up fast so please contact me ASAP.

{I Voted!}

Yes, yesterday I exercised my right to vote... early. I realized last week that I will be on vacation when the poles open on election day, so I took advantage of this great opportunity to skip out on the lines on the big day and hopefully I'll be layin' by the pool soakin' up the sun instead. Now, I was not thrilled by my candidate choices, but I did feel that one candidate would be much worse for America than the other. And hopefully, if my choice for president wins, he won't mess things up too much. On a lighter note... voting was great and completely improved. I didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes before I was able to use those new machines. So cool! They give you this plastic card that looks and feels like a credit card, and you go stick it in the machine. Then you use the touch screen to vote and cast your ballot. When your done you return the card and that is it. No more punching the paper card with the sharp lil' weapon provided in a small claustrophobic enclosure. That's the other thing, you are in the wide open, no longer behind a curtain while voting. It was a lil' disarming at first but once I stepped up to the plate I realized that no one could see what I was doing anyway. Plus I really came at the right moment, because when I was done and I was walking out, the line was out the door. Perfect timing as always!!! Anyway, back to being serious... I'm proud that I was able to place my vote, have my voice heard and have it count towards this pivotal election.

{Anxiously Waiting}

At the moment I am posting this there are 36 days 11 hours & 12 minutes left till Twilight is in theaters. Well as you can probably tell my mind is stuck in Twilight euphoria today. I'm calling out to all you Twilight gals out there, those who are my personal friends/family and those who I've yet to meet. Let's plan the Ultimate Twilight Gals Night Out for November 21st. As soon as tickets go on sale I'm planning on purchasing. I'm wanting to see it at the Junction if any of you would like to join me that night, please let me know. It's gonna be a BLAST!!!
{Who am I}

Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!
You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

Ok bloggers, I've just found this great place where bloggers support bloggers by commenting on each others blogs... that's a lot of blog word-age. It's called "The Secret Is In The Sauce". Basically this is a great networking site and I am thrilled to have found it and am looking forward to getting more visits and comments on my blog. Also I love reading other blogs that I find there and I believe it is helping me be a better blogger. Soooo.... Go check them out HERE.
Some of the great and wonderful blogs that I have found on "SITS" are...
Pennies In My Pocket

Fresh Mommy (love her photography style along with her blog)
Fabulous Since 1961
Stolen Bon Bons (also love her photography!!)
I could seriously go on and on and on and on and on... because there are SOOOOO many great ones that I love that I wouldn't have found if it weren't for SITS!

{End of Summer Fun & m'100th post!!}
Here are some last shots that I hadn't posted from the last month of our fun with our wonderful next door neighbors... they have certainly been such great support, fun, and uplifting to have in my life (just a bit of bragging... they helped keep my driveway clear of snow during the winter, helped keep my lawn mowed during the summer, been there when ever I need help with anything and always an ear to lend, a laugh to share, or a shoulder to cry on... not to mention they are super parents to there son and new twin daughters. We had so much fun at Pine View Reservoir and Bues' Pond with them. We even had a fun pool party earlier in the summer in there back yard. We enjoy hanging out and chatting in our front yards in the evenings while the kids ride bikes and play with balls or pretend they are racing on their jet skis. I am such a lucky gal to know these people and have them in my life.

{Snow is falling all around, on the housetop on the ground}
Yesterday my boys were so excited while we were driving down the road because there were huge snowflakes falling from the sky. {Bug} asked me if it was Christmas time. :) But they (especially {Bug}) were seriously disappointed when it didn't stick to the ground and they had to admire it from afar looking up on the mountains that surround our home. Well you should have seen the excitement when they woke up this morning and saw the snow on the ground. It was like Christmas morning and they could not wait to go out and play in it. I let them run around in it a few minutes while I was loading the car for church and they had a very short blast. Unfortunately all the snow was gone from our lawn by the time church let out and they were not happy about this. It has been snowing on and off all day long and again our lawn is covered. This is gonna be a fun winter with them for sure, I just wish the snow would wait till November... ahh well.

{Early Halloween Goodness}
I went to a RS halloween cooking class with m'mama the other night and learned some really great new ideas. Some of my favorites that I can't wait to try myself are the Licorice Caramels and do you know those to die for Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Caramel & White Chocolate covered apples... yeah!!! I can make a pretty good and cheap variation of those now... WHEEW!!! Those babies are about 6 bucks but I can make them for SOOOO much cheaper now and... not have to drive so far for them either. Here is a picture of the cupcakes we decorated. My boys shoved them in their mouths as if they hadn't eaten in days... so funny to watch.

{Captured In My Kitchen}

So I've started a new adventure and blog. It's all food and food photography, recipes included. They will be my most favorites and that means they are easy to make too. Hop on over and take a peek! P.S. Not like she has the time for this, but my BFF Brit is the one who should be doing a blog like this. She is amazing in the kitchen and even has the talent of making up her own recipes that turn out TO DIE FOR!!! I'm just aspiring to be more like her.
