{Day 8-12 - Gratitude Challenge}
Sorry, I know I've totally slacked but on my behalf I got into a car accident last weekend and I haven't got on to blog. But believe my gratitude did not take a break. In fact since the accident I see life thru refreshed eyes. I feel so lucky & am so grateful for the blessings in my life. I really am so grateful I was not hurt & neither was anyone else. I'm just sore. I know a handful of people that are going thru some real trials and loss at this time & I pray for God's comfort & strength to be with them.

{Day 7 - Gratitude Challenge}
Take a picture of one thing, person, place or specific moment that makes you feel grateful. Share it with your social network.
Well today is my boyfriends birthday. This is a picture I took of us tonight at Kobe. We went out to dinner with friends & family & it was wonderful. I love this man with all my heart & am truly grateful for him in my life. I love you baby! <3

{Day 5 - Gratitude Challenge}
Take five minutes to write about how grateful you are for all of the wonderful things that you currently have in
your life. Don’t long for what you don’t possess—instead, take stock of all the blessings you already enjoy.
I am so grateful that I have a roof over my head at night & that I don't have to share a bedroom with my children. I'm grateful for my talent in photography and that I have the opportunity to own my own photography business. I'm grateful for my children, they are so smart & sweet & full of surprises. I'm grateful for the many blessing that have come my way... a vehicle when I've needed one, enough money to pay my bills & many times unexpected extra to put away. A knowledge & testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thought I'm not the most educated & I don't have the strongest testimony in the church I'm grateful to have these things as a foundation that I can continue to build upon.

{Day 4 - Gratitude Challenge}
Write a short message of thanks for some of the “negative” things in your life.
I am able to say that I am grateful for my divorce. I wouldn't have thought I'd ever say that 2 years ago, & I'm so glad I can say that. I am a better person for it & I've learned so much thru it. I now enjoy the love of a man who treats me so well & encourages me to chase after my dreams. I've been able to teach my children other lessons thru this that would have never been taught as well if I didn't go thru this experience. I've discovered a new me, I'm not the young, naive, "yes" girl that I was when I married. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an advocate for divorce. But in my case, Heavenly Father has truly been taking care of me & blessing me.
Another thing that I am grateful for is my living conditions. This one I complain more about that probably anything else. But, it really is a blessing that my parents were able to & had the room & means to take me & my children in. They have given me a place to live, sleep, raise my children, & have fed us. And as my dad has pointed out on numerous occasions, this is the best place for my kids to be right now while I'm not married. To be surrounded by uncles and grandma & grandpa. It's a very social place for them & I know that it has benefitted them & they are happy.

{Day 3 - Gratitude Challenge}
Write about something you feel grateful for in your life today.
Friends.
What would I do with out them? Life would truly be unbearable. And I really have been blessed with the BEST kind of friends. They have lifted me when I am down. Inspired me to be my best. Shoulders to cry on, laughing together till there are tears (or wet pants, yes that would be me), hugs that you feel even after their over, long phone conversations, or just sitting in silence enjoying company. I love my friends. They mean the world to me. I don't know what I ever did to deserve such great friends.

{Day 1 - The Gratitude Pledge}
I saw this on a couple of my friends blogs & I decided to join in. During this month especially with Thanksgiving coming up I thought this would be a good thing in my life to focus on gratitude and not the really really good food that is associated with Thanksgiving. If you'd like to join me click on the widget in my side bar or go to http://gratitudechallenge.com
With a hopeful outlook, I, Lisa, promise to fulfill the terms of The Gratitude Challenge. Over the next 21 days, I pledge to complete the activities on my gratitude calendar, including writing journal entries, taking photos :) and connecting with friends. I promise to take note of life’s little blessings and to give thanks for the relationships, experiences and opportunities that make my life unique. From this day forward, I commit to living on the brighter side of life.
