This morning we headed out early to Carthage Jail. The missionaries were kind enough to give us the tour even though they officially didn't open for another half hour. (We needed this extra time to catch our flights home.) Though the atmosphere was a little more somber, it holds such a prominent place in church history. I wish we had had more time in this hallowed place. Our experience here will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. After we had taken the tour we headed out for the St. Louis International Airport, where a few of us passed waiting time playing hand and foot.
